Detailed Information:

There is a time-consuming process that involves bonding explosives in a closed environment.

Throughout the center, a high-intensity explosion occurs.

Each detonation rate is specific and spreads across the plate’s surface from its initial point.

This measurement depends on the speed and angle at which the Clad plate collides with the base plate.

Metal jets are formed when thin metal layers are ejected due to the pressure created at the closest adjacent surface.

The wavy lines of a macro-fusion layer resemble welding lines in the metal.

Here, the newly created clean metal surface impacts at several GPAs of pressure, forcing the metals into intimate contact. Metallurgical welds solidify simultaneously across the entire surface.

Despite its large heat, it is transferred from the explosive detonation to the metal. Consequently, no melting or diffusion occurs, and an ideal metal-to-metal bond is formed.

An explosion bonding is a high-integrity metallurgical bond and is confined to a narrow area. In addition to cold-working, dispersion, and precipitation hardening, they allow undisturbed original metal structures.

The Expansion Bonding Process is a Cold Process in which the inherited properties of Parent Materials are not disturbed or changed. However, stress due to Cold Work can be relieved by Heat Treatment.
