Duplex Steel UNS S31803 Round bars have an equal amount of austenite and ferrite, making them stainless steel austenitic-ferrite. The Duplex Steel Bars have outstanding corrosion resistance, a high tolerance level, and a degree of toughness. In addition to its high chloride stress corrosion cracking resistance, chloride cracking resistance, ease of handling, strength,  weldability, and formability, Duplex Steel UNS S32205 Rods possess several silent characteristics due to their strength, weldability, and formability. As a result, Duplex Steel UNS S31803 Rods must be enriched in chrome, nitrogen, and molybdenum to achieve chloride crevice corrosion resistance. 

In general, Duplex Steel 2205 Round Bars cannot be used at temperatures above 300 degrees C due to the precipitation of brittle micro-constituents, nor below -50 degrees C because of the transition from ductile to brittle. Duplex Steel Round Bars require a temperature range between 954 and 1149 degrees Celsius (1750 to 2100 degrees Fahrenheit). Duplex Steel 2205 Round Bars offer better fatigue strength. Molybdenum and chromium contribute to the strength and pitting resistance. As a result of their formability and weldability, Duplex 2205 Round Bars are highly durable and easy to handle.
