BS 6323 Grade CFS 4 Carbon Steel Seamless Tubes, often referred to as mild steel pipes and tubes, offer an economical solution for various applications. With a maximum carbon content of 0.25% and a manganese concentration of 1.20%, these tubes are easy to shape and form. Manufactured to BS specifications, they are commonly recognized as CS (carbon steel) pipes or MS (mild steel) pipes in the market.
Low carbon steel pipes, such as BS 6323 Grade CFS 4 Tubes, are distinguishable from high carbon steel pipes due to their softer nature. However, their surface hardness can be enhanced through carburizing processes.

We bundle Tubes as standard with steel straps into hexagonal bundles with one end flush. Length sorting can be carried out on request. Tubes can also be bundled in multiples. Bundle weights are adjusted as requested by the customer. Each bundle contains tubes from a single cast/heat only. |
Each tube is marked with tube type, heat number, steel grade, and size. Information is repeated along the length of the tube. Bundles are also labelled with a tag with alphanumeric and barcode info. Other markings, such as stamping, can be made on request. |
Material delivered directly from our mill is marked by automotive standards, i.e., with both alphanumeric and barcode information. Specific data can be added according to the customer on request. |
