This product is a standard specification Carbon Steel pipe manufactured by a seamless process. There are no welded joints along its length. The chemical, mechanical and dimensional requirements of these tubes are defined by the ASTM A106 specification. Seamless pipes are very different from welded pipes. Manufacturing Process of ASTM A106 Seamless Pipes
ASTM A106 seamless pipes are produced from well-tested carbon steel billets. The billets are then heated to a softening point and pierced with a mandril to produce a hollow shell. This shell is rolled down to reduce the wall thickness and obtain the basic size.
