The Hastelloy Alloy C22 Fasteners, made of chrome, nickel, molybdenum, and tungsten alloys, are designed to resist pitting, stress corrosion cracking (SSC), and crevice corrosion cracking due to the alloys in this grade. Due to its high chromium content, it is highly resistant to oxidizing media, while molybdenum, tungsten, and nickel are all well-suited for reducing media. On the other hand, Nickel has outstanding resistance to oxidizing aqueous media. Moreover, they can also perform well in environments that contain chlorine, formic acid, and acetic acid.
Due to their long-lasting service in organic and inorganic environments, the alloy C22 fasteners offer excellent resistance to pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion cracking in environments containing organics and inorganic compounds.
The UNS N06022 Bolts are extremely corrosion-resistant because they contain high chrome. ASTM B574 UNS N06022 has excellent corrosion resistance when used in environments with oxidizing aqueous media, such as wet can use Hastelloy c22 fasteners acid or oxidizing acids containing chlorine ions. This high degree of elasticity allows Hastelloy 22 to be shaped into a wide range of fasteners, including bolts, screws, nuts, and other fasteners.
Even though Alloy C-22 fasteners are ideal for use in elevated temperatures, it is essential to avoid using them in applications where the temperature could exceed 1250 degrees Fahrenheit, as this could lead to detrimental phases forming after this point.
