In addition to 316L Round Bars, Ratna Exports offers 316L Round Bars in a wide array of sizes, specifications, and quantities. 316L Round Bars produced from high-quality steel procured from a certified supplier. It is also known as 18/8 stainless steel because it consists of 18% chromium and 8% nickel. It is corrosion-resistant, easy to form, and easy to weld. 316L Round Bars have very similar chemical and mechanical properties to 316 Round Bars but frequently use as shafted bar stock. In 316 round bars, the maximum carbon content is 0.03%, whereas, in 316 round bars, the total carbon content is 0.08%. Their only difference is the carbon content.
316L Round Bars have an L in their name. What does it stand for?
The L indicates the alloy is a low-carbon version of 316L Round Bars. It has many advantages, including enhanced weldability. As a result of their low carbon content, 316L Round Bars can resist grain boundary precipitation sensitization. What is AMS 5647, and how does it work?
The AMS number for this specification is 5647. The materials are identical to those used in 316L Round Bar; therefore, they have the same corrosion resistance and high welding properties. With the help of this Round Bar grade, a wide range of products can be produced, such as bars, wires, forgings, tubing, etc.
While 316L Round Bars remain non-magnetic in that condition, they may become slightly magnetic when cold-worked or welded. The 316LRound Bars use standard fabrication procedures. The 316L round bars must be heated to 1037 degrees Celsius for 90 minutes for every 25mm thickness, followed by water or air quenching. Through annealing, 316L round bars can increase their corrosion resistance.
It is corrosion-resistant and has general-purpose properties. The dual-certified 316L Round Bars imply that the given material meets the low carbon limits of the 316L Round Bars but has a slightly higher strength level of 316-grade. Therefore, dual-certified products have the best properties of both grades.
