The chemical composition of ASME SA335 Grade P11 includes carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, chromium, and molybdenum. This blend provides the pipes with strength, toughness, hardness, and resistance to wear and corrosion. Heat treatment can further enhance these properties.

These pipes are used in high-tech applications such as spacecraft, turbine blades of jet engines, and nuclear reactors. The material’s ferromagnetic properties are advantageous in transformers and electric motors. The chromium content enhances oxidation resistance, making these pipes suitable for high-temperature and oxidizing conditions, while molybdenum improves elasticity, wear resistance, and strength.
