ASTM A335 P11 Seamless Pipes are made from a carbon steel alloy with a minimum yield strength of 205MPa and a minimum tensile strength of 415MPa. Known for their exceptional toughness and high resistance to wear and tear, these pipes are widely used in demanding applications.

The chemical composition of ASME SA335 Grade P11 includes carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, chromium, and molybdenum. This blend provides the pipes with strength, toughness, hardness, and resistance to wear and corrosion. Heat treatment can further enhance these properties.
These pipes are used in high-tech applications such as spacecraft, turbine blades of jet engines, and nuclear reactors. The material’s ferromagnetic properties are advantageous in transformers and electric motors. The chromium content enhances oxidation resistance, making these pipes suitable for high-temperature and oxidizing conditions, while molybdenum improves elasticity, wear resistance, and strength.
ASTM A335 P11 pipes come in seamless and electric resistance welded (ERW) types. Seamless pipes are known for their superior strength and performance, while ERW pipes are used in various applications and can often be interchanged with seamless pipes.
